KIDDUSH IN THE PLACE OF THE SEUDA

SEIF 1
One can only be Yoitze Kiddush if it is made in the place where the Seuda is eaten. The Taz quotes the Rashbam who learns this from the Pasuk "V'karasa L'shabbos Oneg" (the Shabbos should be called "pleasure"). The place where the meal (Seudah) is eaten is considered a pleasure and you call Shabbos there by making Kiddush.

CHAMAR MEDINA BY THE DAY KIDDUSH - PART TWO

SEIF 9 (Cont.)
The Bach says the reason why we make Kiddush on Chamar Medina in the daytime is to remove a Safeik Bracha. There is a Machlokes whether one needs to make a Bracha on beer that is drunk during the meal.  Consequently, making a Shehakol on the beer before the meal exempts any beer drunk within the meal.

CHAMAR MEDINA BY THE DAY KIDDUSH

The Magen Avraham gives a rationale for making Kiddush on Chamar Medina by day. He says that people who prefer bread to wine during the day (since he hadn't eaten since last night) so he could make Kiddush on it by day (by making Hamoitzie.) Since we understand that it is not optimal to make Kiddush on bread, we also make Kiddush on Chamar Medina beforehand. Therefore, if one was not Yoitze with the Shehakol on the Chamar Medina, he'll be Yoitze with the Hamoitzie on the bread.
