BEING MOITZIE OTHERS WITH HAGAFEN

Usually when someone makes a Bracha on food, he cannot be Moitzie others if he does not personally partake of the food, but he can still be Moitzie others with the Bracha Hagafen when making Kiddush.  The reasoning for this stems from the fact that since he can be Moitzie others with Kiddush, the Hagafen on the wine is included with the Kiddush.

A person is allowed to say Kiddush in order to be Moitzie others, even if he personally is not being Yoitze with that Kiddush. The proof is from Kiddush made in Shul. We see that the Chazan makes Kiddush for the guests in Shul.  However, he has no intention of being Yoitze with that Kiddush, since he plans to eat his meal later at home.

LEAVING AND RETURNING TO YOUR ORIGINAL PLACE

SEIF 3 (Cont.)
If someone leaves the place where Kiddush was made and then returns to it, the Shiyurai Kenesses Hagdolah Poskins that he is Yoitze. He compares this to leaving one's place of eating with regards to the necessity of making another Bracha Rishona. If someone eats bread or cake that requires him to return to the original place where the food was eaten in order to make a Bracha Achrona, it is not considered as if he is leaving the original place and he does not need to make another Bracha Rishona.
