DRINKING BEFORE SHACHARIS

The Rosh permits drinking water before Shacharis. Even though a person is not allowed to eat a Seudah before Shacharis, we allow him to drink water since the time for making Kiddush has not yet arrived. Only after the time for Kiddush arrives will there exist a prohibition for eating before Kiddush. (This differs from the Raavad who prohibits this, since one is still drinking the water before making Kiddush.)

WASHING BEFORE THE DAYTIME KIDDUSH

The Tur says that even those who do not permit washing hands prior to making Kiddush at night (since that would be considered a Hefsek), would agree that one would be allowed to wash them before the Shabbos morning Kiddush.
Because the morning Kiddush consists only of "Boirei Pri Hagafen", it is not a Hefsek between washing and Hamoitzie. The Rambam, however, says one should still wash after Kiddush and not beforehand.

SETTING THE TABLE

A person should have their table set and beds made for Shabbos morning.  The Elya Rabba quotes the Be'er Sheva that the bed must either be made on Friday or that he intends to use them on Shabbos day. If the intent is to use them only Motzei Shabbos then they should not be made, since that would be preparing on Shabbos for a weekday. Though the Magen Avraham (in Simon 302) says one may make the bed if it is in a room that will be used on Shabbos.
